Yes, Kawai is best known for it's Alembic-like neck thru bass, arguably one of the coolest basses ever made. But this one is lacking for nothing and features a bolt-on neck with a solid koa body. Made in Japan but equipped with German Schaller P/J pickups, gold bridge and gold tuners. This bass is lively and responsive, so much so that at press time I am considering it for my own Japanese bass collection.
